An Overview Of All The Things You Need To Know About Parking in Dubai

Parking lot dubai

If you have been living in Dubai for quite long already, you now might have an idea of how strict it is to park in the right spots. Most of the street parking here in Dubai has parking meters, wherein you can put your coins to make sure you save the spot for you.

Usually, the parking only needs Dhs 2 per hour, Dhs 4/5 for two hours, Dhs 8 for three hours, and Dhs 11 for four hours. However, you should know that parking is free every Friday and during public holidays as well and the police always monitor those who are parking in the wrong spot and area.

There is also what you call mParking, wherein people are now allowed to pay for the parking fees through SMS.

Overall, there are actually three types of parking in Dubai – Commercial, Non-commercial, and Special Areas.

Commercial

Zone A

All roadside parking posts in commercial areas.

Payment: Payment is Dhs 4 per hour or Dhs 2 for half an hour; Dhs 8 for two hours, Dhs 12 for three hours, and Dhs 16 for four hours.

Zone B

Includes all the parking lots in commercial areas whose drivers hold seasonal cards for Zones B and D

Payment: Payment is Dhs 3 per hour, Dhs 8 for three hours, Dhs 12 for four hours, and Dhs 15 for five hours, and Dhs 20 for 24 hrs.

Non-commercial

Zone C

This code covers all the parking areas in non-commercial areas – there are signboards set up for this zone.

Payment: Payment is Dhs 2 per hour, Dhs 5 for two hours, Dhs 8 for three hours, and Dhs 11 for four hours.

Zone D

There are also signboards that can let people know and distinguish this parking area.

Payment: Payment is Dhs 2 per hour, Dhs 5 for two hours, Dhs 8 for three hours, and Dhs 10 for 24 hours.

Special Areas

Zone F

This is specifically for drivers in the Tecom area.

Payment: Payment is Dhs 2 per hour, Dhs 5 for two hours, Dhs 8 for three hours, and Dhs 11 for four hours.

Zone G

This is specifically drivers in Downtown Dubai and no tariff changes.
